The Role

We are proud to announce that Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Headteacher to oversee the leadership of The Chalet School from September 2025; collaborating with Brunel’s Executive Leadership Team and wider network of Brunel’s Education Professionals and Central Business Support Teams at an exciting and crucial time in the Multi Academy Trust’s journey to success.

The Chalet School is a fantastic SEND school for pupils with Autism and SEND located in East Swindon's Liden community. We offer an individualised knowledge based curriculum that is designed to support Autistic pupil to make good or better progress against their EHCPs outcomes. We want our pupils to have access to their "voice" and feel listened to.

You will be an excellent leadership professional in SEND, with demonstrable experience moving a school out of Ofsted RI to Good - successfully and good knowledge with RAPID school improvement. You will be organised, with sound knowledge of the current and relevant inspection frameworks for special schools and able to establish and sustain quality relationships at pace with our pupils, the team, wider Trust colleagues and parents/carers, with a flare for nourishing your team’s strengths and abilities to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

The Chalet School is proud to be part of Brunel Academies Trust - a growing educational community with no barriers, only potential. We strive to significantly improve the life chances and outcomes for our CYP within our SEND, CofE and mainstream EPs.
